Buck Lake Ranch 35mm slides of country music artists
by David
(USA)
I have some 35mm slides from either 1963 or 1964 at a place called Buck Lake Ranch in Angola Indiana. Could you help me identify some of the artists in the photos. I already know some are Jan Howard, Porter Wagoner,Bill Anderson, Helen Carter.
Just put brackets around the code < >. if you don't know the html code (i.e. img src=) just post the link to the picture and I'll make it work. Robert, website owner.
P.S. I didn't have any pictures of Buck Lake Ranch to post.

35mm Slides by: Anonymous
I also have slides for Buck Lake Ranch in the early 60's. Can I somehow add them to this site or would you like for me to add to Photobucket and let you know when they are posted?

LIke to help identify but don't see any pictures by: Darlene (Dorene Greg)
I sang there from 63, 64 and 65 with Rem Wall Green Valley Jamboree. I did shows with Lonzo and Oscar, Porter Wagner, Tom Pall and the Glacier Bros, Skeeter Davis, Dottie West and Ernest Tubbs.
Rem's band also worked for Gibson Guitars and many times would bring the instruments for different band members that were on the road.
That was the beginning of my career almost 50 years ago. It has been a great journey. I left Michigan and moved to California and was signed by Gene Autry's Republic Records and than there are more stories.
I see it's not the same type of entertainment anymore. Also not the same owners. But that was years ago

Buck Lake Documentary by: Nicole Vice
We just watched the documentary this weekend...what an awesome piece of history. It was so much fun to see all the stars who played at Buck Lake and to know that we are a part of its new history.

Buck Lake Documentary by: Patty Corbett
We (Joe Taylor & Red Birds) performed staff band at Buck Lake Ranch from 1953-69 opening for each season with dozens of major artists. We also have a lot of 35 mm slides. A friend just finished a Buck Lake documentary which he hopes PBS stations will take up in their fund raising campaigns.
