Help! country song that reached high on the british pop charts at Christmas

Hi, heres a tough one. Does anyone know of a song which reached high on the British (pop) charts around 2002 - 2004 at Christmastime.It made headlines at the time as it was a country song and I think by a not very famous singer. I don't know any of the words as I only heard it one time. The singer was male, probably in his fifties.(I do apologise if he is famous!).
