As a dad this brings tears to my eyes and I hope my kids can feel like this. However The Old Man by the Fureys is an amazing song. The story live is overwhelming, but its a tale about a circumstance. The Man in The Picture is more generic and poignant - at least to me. Phil M

The Man in the Picture is good.
But the best Father song I reckon is " The Old Man" by the Fureys. I played this at my Dad's funeral...and it will be sung by a friend at his memorial service.
I used to play this to my Dad when he was alive...and told him I would be playing it at his funeral. He liked it too...and when I was driving him around we would always listen to it.
