looking for a song heard it once and loved it

from what i have found out is it was popular about 3 years ago. male sing.. it's about this guy who buys this car (i think 67 mustang convertible) from this women . the finds a letter in the glove box it reads if your reading this letter i must of not made it home. from the war and it goes on and it ends with this guy in a car wreck and is pulled out by a a army man. that wasn't really there... this song made the hair stand up on my arms. any help would be appreciated and big thanks.
