I was going through basic training in Columbia, South Carolina back in November 1980. I remember when they first allowed us to listen to radio during our training was in December and the first song I heard was a country song, they played it frequently, the theme of the song was about a trucker trying to get home in a snow storm to his family. I can't remember the lyrics to locate the song. I only know that it was played frequently back in December 1980 and the song kind of haunts me today in a good way. Maybe you know the answer or how I can find a play list from that time. Any help would be appreciated?
I believe it was in the 70's there was a song about a little man who got in a barroom fight. I think his wife was a large woman but in the course of the fight the man told his wife to "Get Old Nasty" the dog. Also a phrase "cause I'm a little man". Thanks, Kay
This song is about some men talking about how Jesus isn't real and the boy speaks up and says Please don't tell my daddy ---- since he has found Jesus he doesn't hit my mommy. I can't remember the name, but If anyone knows anything I would be grateful. thanks
I'm looking for a song that was being played on the radio about late 1992 early 1993. Sung by a male portraying a father talking to his daughter. Part of the lyrics go, 'Brittany,or(Britney)one day you will have a family of your own and....(something like)....you'll find that you don't need me as much or need me like you did. It's a song that we would love to find and play at our granddaughters' 16th birthday since she was named Brittany because of this song. I hope someone remembers this song and can tell me who sang it and or the title. Thank you so much! cabinfever126(at)yahoo.com

Title of song about child hiding from domestic violence and finding Jesus there with him behind the sofa
I am looking for a song title. I think it is a country western song. The theme is about a child who does not know who the man in the picture is. During a violent altercation in his home, he hid behind the sofa. The 'man in the picture' was there with him. Does anyone know the title and artist? Thanks. Susan

Trying to find artist who sang "My Love for you is just a state of mind"
by Diane Evans
I'm not sure of the title but this was popular on WJRZ radio in New Jersey in the mid to late 60's
It was a male singer and the words are;
"Lonely rivers flow like time past those greens hills far beyond And somewhere pasts those hills my heart longs to be, So don't ask me where I'm goin 'cuz I got no way of knowin And my love for you is just a state of mind."
There's some bayous in "Orleans that I know I've never seen And I've put that Golden Gate off for (far) too long now da da da da da da da, da da da da da da da, And my love for you is just a state of mind."
I recently spoke to Ray Price on a call in radio show and he said it wasn't him.
This has been bugging me for all these years. Thanks
